Q- How does it work?

A- This service allows you to send mobile phone credit to friends and family in over 30 destinations around the world. You can purchase credit straight from your UK mobile phone.

Q- How do I buy mobile credit?

A- Simply text the MOOSEND followed by + and the destination number in full international format to a 5 digit premium SMS short code.

The text message will be charged to your phone bill by your mobile provider and we will credit the chosen international mobile with the amount you have chosen.

If you use a pre-paid mobile the credit will be deducted from your remaining balance. The charge is made using premium SMS billing directly with your mobile phone network.

Q- Where can I transfer credit to?

A- You can transfer credit to any mobile number covered by our service. We reach more than 30 countries and over 200 mobile networks around the world.

Q- Can I transfer credit to a contract mobile?

A- No the mobile credit transfer will only work when sent to a pre-paid mobile.

Q- How will the recipient be notified for the transfer?

A- The person you are transferring the credit to will receive a text message displaying your UK mobile number. That’s how they will know who has sent the credit.

Q- What if I have sent a text requesting a card, but have not received a confirmation message back?

A- Generally a confirmation message is sent instantaneously, however very occasionally for example at peak times the mobile networks maybe congested which means that the confirmation message maybe delayed. Do not resend the message as you will be charged twice. If you are using a Pay As You Go mobile please ensure you have sufficient credit in your phone to cover the cost of the transfer as well as the text request into the 5 digit short code.

Q- Are there any administration or subscription fees?

A- There is no administration or subscription fees you only pay for the amount you have chosen to transfer. N.B. Please note that credit transferred to India, Pakistan and Yemen will be subject to a deduction of up to 15% of the top-up value by the local mobile network operators. This is exclusively controlled and decided by the local mobile network operators.

Q- Is there a maximum amount of top-ups that I am allowed in one day?

A- Yes, you can only buy from your mobile £5 credit once in 24 hours or £1.50 credit twice (so total of £3) in 24 hours.

Q- How long does it take to transfer the credit?

A- Normally the credit will be transferred to your chosen mobile within 20 to 30 seconds provided the mobile is switched on. Otherwise, the transfer will occur when the mobile gets switched back on. Occasionally for example at peak times the mobile networks maybe congested which means that the confirmation message maybe delayed. Do not resend the message as you will be charged twice.

Error Messages while transferring credit

MSISDN out of range – it is likely that you have either entered an incorrect mobile number or that you are trying to send credit to a contract mobile or a landline, please check the number again.

Operator not supported – you have entered a number which belongs to an operator that we do not support

Topup refused – due to a techinal issue your top-up was not successful, please contact customer service.

Daily limit exceeded – certain mobile operators may restrict the number of amount of top-ups that can be sent in a day, please contact customer service.

Unknown Provider error code 224 – it is likely that the mobile number you entered is invalid and we are unable to send credit to that number.

You must have a UK mobile and have the bill payer's permission. This is a reverse-billed text service, cost of text to 88565 or 85787 will be charged at £1.50 or £5.00 plus your standard network text message charge.
